The Director of Girls cricket would like to invite club U15 female players to register their interest in joining the BNJCA u15 Girls Representative pathway selection process for season 2021/22 by 31/3/21. This pathway would be appropriate for girls born after the 1st of September 2006, so basically the girls must be under 15 years of age on the 31st of August 2021. We have attached the nomination form here.
If you have younger girls that you think will go close or up to this level please put forward also.
Once nominations are in we will be looking to trial in early September to then select a team to compete in the U15 Female State Challenge against Bears, Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast during mid to late September. After three rounds of this tournament a combined team of Brisbane North and Bears players are selected by Queensland Cricket in a team called City Fever to compete in the State Championships held during the Summer Holidays.
Finally, I would draw your attention to the Winter Girls Academy that will be running from the 9th of May to the 22nd of August. This Academy will operate on a fortnightly basis to accommodate the Warehouse Girls Winter Cricket schedule. Incorporating turf centre wicket training and guided by professional coaches it will focused on providing your Daughter with the high level of technical input to develop their game. The seven week program we will be putting together is a great opportunity to get the best girls in our association training together leading into the 21/22 season.
With the State Challenge held before the summer season kicks off we/I believe this will put your daughters in a great position leading into trials and the season that follows.
