Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association administered schools collect digital, photographic and multimedia images of players and officials to promote junior cricket during representative carnivals and other BNJCA events and celebrating player achievements.
These images are considered “personal information” of players. The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the BNJCA Privacy policy regulates how BNJCA collect, use and disclose the personal information of players and officials and families. BNJCA’s Privacy policy can be accessed on the Associations website or at https://www.bnjca.qld.cricket.com.au/admin/policies/Privacy.aspx Media access is managed and supervised by BNJCA and clubs:
- The club and BNJCA have the right to refuse media access where it would, in the opinion of both parties, interfere with the player’s well-being;
- Media access to BNJCA facilities is entirely at the discretion of BNJCA; and,
- Media access to players will be managed by representatives of their club and BNJCA.
BNJCA require informed consent from parents/legal guardians and in some cases players, to use their images. The consent form on the following page outlines various consent permissions.
