Introduction

This Charter governs the operation of the Facilities Sub-Committee of the Brisbane North Junior Cricket Association (BNJCA).  This Charter should be read in conjunction with the BNJCA Constitution.  To the extent that this Charter does not expressly provide, the provisions of the constitution will apply to this sub-committee.

Objectives

The purpose of the Facilities Sub-Committee is to:

  • To organise the design and construction or renovation of buildings
  • To manage the maintenance of buildings
  • To organise the design and construction or renovation of training facilities
  • To manage the maintenance of training facilities
  • To organise the layout of fields
  • To manage the maintenance of fields

Buildings

The sub-committee will develop plans for new buildings or renovation of existing buildings.  If approved by the Management Committee, the sub- committee will then co-ordinate contractor and volunteer efforts to see these plans to completion and continue to manage the maintenance of these buildings.  Plans will need to included capital and operational expenditure budgets.

Training Facilities

The sub-committee will develop plans for new training facilities or renovation of existing training facilities.  If approved by the Management Committee, the sub- committee will then co-ordinate contractor and volunteer efforts to see these plans to completion and continue to manage the maintenance of these training facilities.  Plans will need to included capital and operational expenditure budgets.

Fields

The sub-committee will develop plans for new fields or renovation of existing fields.  If approved by the Management Committee, the sub- committee will then co-ordinate contractor and volunteer efforts to see these plans to completion and continue to manage the maintenance of these fields.  Plans will need to included capital and operational expenditure budgets.

Review

The Management Committee will be the arbiter for interpretation and/or clarification of this sub-committee Charter.

Omissions or errors should be brought to the attention of the Management Committee.

This policy is subject to regular review by the Management Committee and will be amended (as appropriate).  Acceptance of a new release of the charter will be supported by a motion from a Management Committee meeting.

Inconsistency with the Association’s Constitution

To the extent there is any inconsistency between this charter and the BNJCA Constitution, the Constitution will prevail.

Lifespan

This is a standing committee, the membership of which is reviewed after each annual general meeting of the association.

Currency

This charter is current from the published date at the beginning of this document.

This charter remains current until superseded by another Facilities Sub-Committee Charter with a later date of currency.
